Botstiber Scholar Emmy Muhoza attended the Society for Mining, Metallurgical, and Exploration (SME) Conference from February 24-27, 2019, in Denver, Colorado, with Penn State’s SME Student Chapter. The conference is a forum “for more than 6,000 industry professionals from across the world to share innovative ideas, best practices and cutting-edge research in more than 120 technical sessions along with an expansive marketplace of more than 550 exhibiting companies.”
Emmy was awarded the SME Mineral Processing Award at the SME Conference, among only eight students who showed great potential in the field of mineral processing and metallurgy.
