Botstiber Scholars Program: 2020 SME Annual Conference & Expo

Botstiber Scholars Emmy Muhoza and Harmonie Ngamuyeka attended the Society for Mining, Metallurgical, and Exploration (SME) Conference from February 23 – 26, 2020, in Phoenix, Arizona, with Penn State’s SME Student Chapter. The conference is a forum “for more than 6,000 industry professionals from across the world to share innovative ideas, best practices and cutting-edge research in more than 120 technical sessions along with an expansive marketplace of more than 575 exhibiting companies.”

Emmy Muhoza was awarded the SME Mining and Exploration Award at the SME Conference, along with six other students from other universities.
