Botstiber Scholar Joseph Tumwebaze spent the summer gaining valuable experience through a virtual 12-week Information Sciences and Technology internship program working with Zoomifier Corporation and Fireflies.AI.
Joseph describes his experience:
“Through the 12-week program this summer, I worked in a team to solve problems that small startup companies face. We went through two design thinking sprints for two separate startups using frameworks learned in the IST classroom. We were also assigned an industry mentor to coach and guide us throughout the design thinking sprints. At the end of each sprint, we had to pitch our solutions back to the startups. I worked with two businesses: Zoomifier Corporation and Fireflies.AI through Solve Tomorrow to develop technical solutions for their problems. I was able to create a sales manager dashboard for Zoomifier. This Internship has been such a growing experience for me. I’ve learned the value in both business experiences and technological experiences. I also made so many meaningful connections with both students and industry experts.”
