Botstiber Scholars Program: Student Ice Skating Social

Each month, Penn State’s Sponsored Relations and the Sponsored Student Leadership Panel (SSLP) hold a social event for sponsored students to get together and enjoy diverse activities that allow them to interact with people they may not see on a daily or weekly basis. For January 2019, the social was held at Pegula Ice Arena, where the students enjoyed two hours of ice skating together. Eight of the Botstiber scholars attended this event, and for many it was their first time on the ice. They enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with friends and meet new students who arrived for spring semester. Everyone supported each other as they learned and perfected their ice skating skills – the perfect wintertime activity.
