Botstiber Scholars Program: Penn State Presidential Leadership Academy Selects Faith Shipapa

The Penn State Presidential Leadership Academy (PLA) is a prestigious and competitive program that offers curricular and extracurricular opportunities for high-achieving students. Freshmen are invited to apply through a rigorous application process, which includes having a 3.2 GPA and submitting two essays and two letters of recommendation. Only 30 students are accepted each year.

These students then spend the next three years within the program developing their leadership skills and critical thinking. They have the opportunity to attend various seminars and partake in yearly all-expenses-paid field trips.

This year, we are proud to announce that rising sophomore and Botstiber Scholar, Faith Shipapa, was accepted into the Presidential Leadership Academy as a part of their 2018 Class. She will join Botstiber Scholars, Emmy Muhoza and Caleb Musekiwa, who are in the PLA’s 2017 Class.
